We provide a multi-disciplinary range of therapeutic services, programmes and workshops to support holistic wellbeing.

We will consider how each temperament reflects the meeting of two streams — our inherited tendencies and our eternal self. First appearing in childhood, the temperaments give each individual a particular colouring and richness of character.

The ethos of the Tara Centre is one of reverence and respect for life in all its forms, compassion for pain and suffering, and a conviction that what hurts can heal. A holistic approach to counselling/psychotherapy is adopted whereby the physical, emotional, intellectual, volitional and spiritual dimensions of the person are honoured.

Art Therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses the art media as its primary mode of expression and communication. Artistic ability is not a requirement as the focus is on providing a non-judgemental environment in order to nurture creativity and healing when words do not come easily.

The already established Tuesday Morning Meditation Group, led by Mary and Maura, will resume its meetings in September 2025.

Complementary Therapy Treatments are a very significant dimension of the multi-disciplinary approach taken at the Tara Centre in support of holistic health, healing and general wellbeing.

Teresa is delighted to offer a Chair Yoga class here at the Tara Centre. This class is suitable for everyone. Class will be one hour of gentle movement, light & laughter – and the rest will follow!

Experience the transformative power of yoga with Josephine, a certified yoga and mindfulness teacher and sound bath practitioner. Her classes are designed to nurture growth, relaxation and self-discovery.

ALL peoples / ages / abilities can do Dru Yoga with their easy isotonic flowing sequences. Dru Yoga postures are the same Hatha Yoga postures, but done in flowing manner for energy block release and energy flow. Qi Gong (pronounced Chi Kung) is a meditative movement class for all abilities, ages, and levels of fitness/disability/injury.
